In 2014 and 2016 Miller Transit won 1st place in York Region’s Transit Roadeo
This driving competition promotes safe and effective driving skills among YRT/Viva drivers. During the week prior to the final event, bus run-offs and a variety of tests and inspections will take place. Three finalists will be chosen from each of the four contractors. The final event is a 10 station obstacle course designed to meet the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) guidelines. The winner will be sent to the APTA Bus Roadeo (in whatever chosen state) the year following the event.
The event is an enjoyable day which includes a free BBQ lunch and a full day of activities which includes children’s inflatable attractions, a rock climbing wall, arts and crafts, and more for all family members to enjoy.
